Interns are paid $1000 a year ($250, quarterly) and get a programming budget for planning events, coffee dates, etc.
Ideal candidates will not necessarily be Hillel regulars. We are looking for diverse students with access and experience with a wide range of students (especially those NOT interested in Hillel already).
Additionally, applicants should have either participated in a Taglit-Birthright Israel trip, or are ideally Birthright eligible. (This means they must not have traveled to Israel before on a peer educational trip or study program nor lived in Israel past the age of 12.)
* All Interns are required to attend summer training at Washington University in St. Louis. During this week you will learn the tools of your job with your peers from around the country. This year the Engagement Institute Summer Training is scheduled from Wednesday, August 8th - Sunday, August 12th, 2012. This training is mandatory and FREE. Airfare and conference costs are covered by Hillel.
